Can I book here with confidence?
Yes, Le Repaire des Hirondelles exists and is well present on major booking platforms,
with many traveler reviews.
But why spend more money?
By booking directly, you simply avoid intermediary fees —An advantage for both you and us.
A 25% deposit is required upon booking, with the balance due up to 14 days before your arrival.
You pay for your stay by bank transfer or payment link; we will never ask for your bank details or your card details.
What is the price of a stay?
You can easily create your personalized quote online on the dedicated page.
When you book, we offer you our best rates, determined based on the dates of your stay, its duration, and the number of people in the cottage. If any of these factors change subsequently, the price will simply be adjusted accordingly.

When do I pay for my stay?
You will only pay a 25% deposit when booking, the balance can be paid up to 14 days before your arrival.

Is there a minimum length of stay?
Yes, it varies from 2 to 5 nights depending on the season.
Feel free to contact us if you have a specific request.
What are the cancellation conditions?
You can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before your arrival.
Your deposit will then be fully refunded.
Is linen provided?
Yes, bed linen, towels, and kitchen towels are included. For stays longer than 7 days, we can provide an additional set of linen upon request.
Is the final cleaning included?
The final cleaning is OPTIONAL and costs €60 for Le Colombage and €80 for Le Schopf.
Don't panic, to avoid these fees, simply have to :
- wash and putt away the dishes,
- Empty and clean the fridge and freezer,
- Remove debris and hair from drains (sink, shower, bathtub),
- if necessary, scrub the toilets (we will take care of the disinfection),
- give it a quick sweep 🧹 (we'll take care of the big clean),
- Take out the rubbish, bottles and compost.
In short, leave the accommodation in a state that allows us to immediately wield our magic wand 🪄.
Do I need to bring my own cleaning products?
No, we provide dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, and other common cleaning products.
Laundry detergent is not provided.
What are the arrival and departure times?
Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is by 11 am. If the cottage is ready and available, we will be happy to welcome you earlier upon request. Please let us know your arrival time so we can arrange key collection. Late arrivals are also possible; just let us know in advance.
What is the accommodation capacity of the cottages?
The Colombage can accommodate up to 5 people and the Schopf up to 6. For safety reasons related to fire standards, it is not possible to accommodate more people or to add beds other than those already provided.
Is there a place to store my bicycles?
Yes, you will have a secure storage area for your bicycles. Recharging your bicycle batteries can be done, under supervision, within the cottage.
Are the cottages suitable for people with reduced mobility?
No, both cottages are duplexes and their access is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Can I hold parties there?
No, for the comfort of all residents, parties are not allowed.
Meals with family or friends are of course welcome, as long as they are respectful of the neighbors. By booking both of our cottages at the same time, you will have all the space and comfort needed to accommodate up to 11 people. The Schopf's living room can accommodate a large table for you to gather and share warm moments.
Is there parking available on site?
Yes. Each cottage has a free parking space in the courtyard, and additional vehicles can be parked free of charge on the street.
Are the cottages suitable for accommodating motorcycles?
Yes, Le Repaire des Hirondelles is perfectly suited for motorcyclists. While our courtyard isn't gated, we're located in a peaceful village, and the motorcyclists who have stayed with us have appreciated the from outside view hidden private parking. Some of them came and came even back with their trailers, which they were able to park during their stay in the property.
What type of coffee machine?
You will have at your disposal a filter coffee machine (filters and ground coffee provided) as well as a Nespresso type capsule machine (one capsule per person is offered to start your stay off right).
You can buy additional capsules in any supermarket.
Are there any equipment available for my baby?
Yes, you just need to ask us in advance and we will set up a baby cot and a high chair.
Are pets allowed in the cottages?
No, pets are not allowed, but we can recommend some excellent places in the area for your stays with your four-legged friends.
Are there any shops nearby?
The Rothgerber fruit farm, with its bakery, pastry shop, snacks, fruits and vegetables, and butcher's counter, is 1 km away. While you're there, be sure to visit the Klugesherz Bakery and Pastry Shop, 5 km away. It was featured on the TV show "Best Bakery in France" and is well worth a visit. The nearest supermarkets (Auchan, Lidl) are in Marlenheim, 3 km away.
Are there any restaurants nearby?
There is a restaurant in the village, open only for lunch from Wednesday to Sunday. You will also find excellent restaurants within 3 km of the cottage. Please feel free to contact us if you would like recommendations.
What is the best season to visit Alsace?
In spring, you'll enjoy nature awakening. In summer, floral decorations will adorn the Alsatian villages, and the Pre-Vosges forest will offer welcome coolness on hot days. Autumn will unfold its palette of colors before the vineyards lose their leaves. Winter will bring tranquility before the excitement of the Christmas markets, held from late November to late December. Whether for active holidays (cycling, hiking), gastronomic experiences, or cultural adventures, Alsace can be visited all year round!
